EMS Supervisor SIM Lab

Conducting Investigations in EMS

Registration details coming soon. Check back for updates.

In EMS, we train for high-acuity, low-occurrence events because the stakes are too high to get them wrong. Yet when it comes to leadership, many supervisors are placed into roles without practical training in handling the complex challenges of personnel management and workplace investigations.

The EMS Supervisor SIM Lab changes that. Like patient simulation, this hands-on workshop provides a realistic learning environment where EMS leaders face real-world scenarios and practice effective investigative techniques. Led by EMS Attorney Scott Moore, participants will engage in practical exercises, group discussions, and scenario-based challenges that prepare them for some of the toughest situations they may encounter.

What You’ll Gain

    • Skills to identify workplace issues that require action or investigation
    • An understanding of the legal complexities tied to workplace incidents and complaints
    • Step-by-step guidance on conducting legally sound investigations
    • Best practices for interviewing, evidence collection, and fact assessment
    • Tools for drafting comprehensive, defensible investigative reports

With growing scrutiny on how employers handle workplace complaints, the SIM Lab equips EMS supervisors and managers to lead with confidence, fairness, and legal awareness.
